Slow down and respect the roadside workers. We see these campaigns all across America. It’s a huge problem. Shooting portraits and interviewing these workers was very eye-opening. Of the 15 workers we collaborated with, all of them had been injured on the job, and most of them, personally, knew a fellow worker who was killed. One ancillary result that came out of this project, is that while this campaign was running on billboards and trucks all over New York City, due to pride, we learned that worker production increased as much as 40%. Pretty cool stuff.
