2000 mixed intaglio, 18″x24″
For a good two years, I was obsessed with architecture and design—both modern and shanty.
In my studies, I obviously turned to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright.
I was moved most by his unwavering control over his projects. He saw through every detail inside and out. So much so that he pined over detailed drawings of not only the structures themselves, but also individual elements such as; windows, interior framework, furniture and color pallets. Needless to say this piece was inspired by the great Fallingwater, and the futuristic architecture prowess in Chicago.
